Petition updateTime’s running out. Just two months left to save Crystal Palace Climbing CentreUrgent Update: Act now for public scrutiny

Firstly, thank you :)

More than 350 people submitted formal objections through the planning portal. That is a significant number and it has helped establish beyond doubt that this is a major local issue, not a niche concern.

However, the application is still currently shown on Bromley’s planning portal as heading for a delegated decision. In plain English, that means it may be determined by planning officers under delegated authority, without any public scrutiny by councillors at committee and no opportunity for the climbing community to present its case in person.

That is why the next step matters.

Click this link to email local councillors and MP now

The link opens a pre-filled email to the relevant councillors and MP. These are the people who can request that the application is referred to committee.

All you need to do is add your name and postcode and press send. If you have time, a short personal sentence will help, but it is not essential.

The email simply asks that, given the scale of public concern and the importance of this facility, the application is considered at committee so it can be discussed in public.

With the target decision date now less than 13 days away, there is very little time left for this to happen.

If the link does not work on your device, you can email directly and request the NSC Planning applications go to committee:
