The language around the legislative proposal has changed and will be directed to "earned time credit" as opposed to good time. Well, you may be asking yourself, "What does that mean?" Good time is given for good behavior and earned time is given for participation and/or completion of a variety of programs such as: Education, Vocational Training, Rehabilitation, Work, or Agriculture Credit.

Currently, some people do not receive ANY credit for due participation towards parole eligibility and we want to change that by providing an incentive for all inmates. We are aware and want you to be aware that this proposal does not guarantee release for anyone, ONLY the opportunity to see parole.

Unfortunately, I do not yet have a Bill Number but it should be kicked back shortly with one. Please follow up online with http://tifa.org as they are the institution in which will be the primary contributor to this Bill.

Thank you all so very much for getting the word out. If you have any questions or concerns you can email me (Kirsten) at thewaykirstensmith@gmail.com and I will get back to you ASAP.
