Thorntons staying in Newport for another 2 years!!!

Well everyone I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who has signed the petition to date, I have been told that Thorntons will be staying open in Newport for the next 2 years!. This decision to keep the shop open has been possible due to the public outcry of the people of Newport that have expressed their views to Thorntons both by signing the petition and those that have spoken to the managers in the shop. Thorntons have also had it agreed that their business rates will be lowered for this time period. This is very good news and now we need people to keep visiting the Thorntons shop as they have been in the last few weeks to ensure that the shop will stay permanently. I have spoken to the South Wales Argus and will be meeting with a photopgrapher tomorrow and hopefully the article will feature in the paper Tuesday/Wednesday.
