Due to a combination of poor decision making, an inability to read the Canadian electorate, and the inability to judge the mood of Canadian voters Thomas Mulcair has led the Federal New Democrat Party into one of the worst defeats in NDP history.
Many good incumbent NDP MP's lost their seats in this election, destroying the NDP's political leverage in the Canadian parliament for at least the next four years. Countless hours in volunteer time were wasted and the limited financial resources of working Canadians were lost in the failed NDP election campaign.

Thomas Mulcair must resign to allow new leadership, and new ideas to take the party in a new direction.
