Dear supporter
As you all know this petition was started as many of us had begun facing a battle to obtain more than one auto injector pen .
One of my main issues was the fact that ambulance wait times were up to 15 minutes and with only one pen this was not sufficient .
Now I am reading regular accounts of people stating anaphylaxis on dialling 999 and waiting up to 40 minutes for an ambulance to arrive ! This was so concerning myself and a couple of parents contacted Allergy support organisations to get their feedback . It transpires in a response from the chief medical officer Dame Sally Davies that priority is only given to certain stages of anaphylaxis eg difficulty breathing . We know this is in breach of resus guidelines that state there are numerous stages to triage during anaphylactic episode's and that all 999 calls should be treated promptly . We all know how unpredictable anaphylaxis is and that symptoms can escalate in minutes .
Here is a link to my new petition . Please sign and share it . It links in with this one .
