Dear Supporters ,
This is a important reference for those of us fighting to obtain two or more AAI's. With our doctors arguing that they are costly and underused then this could be a useful guide if you find yourself in this position . It's worth the BSACI taking note that in the 'real world ' of living with serious allergies most pharmacists do not stock Jext and Epi with long shelf dates and that we struggle to get 6-8 months on them . This is unacceptable and shouldn't be allowed . Surely in the interests of 'cost effectiveness ' pens with a minimum of 18 months should always be in stock ? Or increase the supply of Emerad which has 30 months .
Please keep signing and sharing . I will update once the BSACI amend their guidelines and in the meantime your local Clinical Comissioning Group is a good point of contact to voice your concerns.
Regards , Angela
