There has been much debate over the last few hours concerning the differences between public inquiries and inquests. From the various human rights lawyers I have discussed this with, the general consensus is that both can be powerful processes, but depending on the parameters and who sets the agenda, neither is infallible either. The bottom line is that there is overwhelming public demand for a thorough, transparent and fair process that unearths the truth about what happened at Grenfell, and which allows the affected families and residents of this community full participation; not a process that protects Tory agendas or those responsible for the tower's maintenance. Whether inquest or public inquiry, the aim of this petition is clear: justice. Thank you for your support.
