Yesterday, President Trump signed an Executive Order suspending all US Refugee programs effective January 27th. There is no carve out for wartime allies who assisted our military.
This means that if our family, who is currently cleared and ready to fly NOW, is not rebooked for travel and in the United States in less than a week, their case will be set significantly back, maybe years and years back.
We have multiple contacts and connections trying to push through the reprocessing of the case, but time is running out. We check our e-mails multiple times a day hoping for a miracle. All of this is the reason we were initially pushing so hard to get the family booked and here before Inauguration Day, which makes the most recent development that much more heartbreaking.
The reality is that while we will never give up, we may never see this case through to a happy ending due to new policy set forth.
We appreciate your support for this family that has given up so much for the United States of America. We will continue to fight, but are afraid we are being pushed back from the goal line we were just about to cross.
