Dear Friend,

Tonight, “The Interpreters” premieres on PBS.  This documentary tells the story of Afghan and Iraqi interpreters who worked with US forces, and are struggling to find safety for themselves and their loved ones.    What better way to honor veterans than to take the time to watch this film that highlights why fighting for our battlefield allies from Iraq and Afghanistan is so important to the veteran community.  To many, interpreters are veterans too.

Air times vary depending on your market and the following link lists all PBS air times throughout the US. Check the schedule and set your DVRs:  Click for Air Times

Also linked here is an op-ed published in the New York Times this week by Marine veteran and writer Phil Klay.  The piece, “The Soldiers We Leave Behind”, does an incredible job reporting on this issue and providing historical context: Click to Read Op-Ed

Please consider taking the time to check these out and share.  We hope to someday soon have positive news to share regarding our case involving an interpreter family that has sacrificed so much for this country.

Happy Veteran's Day and thank you for staying in the fight with us.

Pete
