SAVE OUR ANIMALS FROM ABUSE - post brexit discussions leading to animal neglect. R

Moving to a future outside of the E.U. will give our government power to create and abolish laws based on arbitrary and biased decision making.
In November 2017 the Conservative government abolished the law (initially set by the European Union) which protects animals from abuse, torture and exploitation, claiming that animals do not feel pain and are not capable of suffering. This begs the painfully obvious question, how can people be so ignorant as to think that if animals can use their eyes to see, and their ears to hear, and their noses to smell, why should they not be able to use their brains to feel?!
Without the law to protect them, animals in agriculture will be exploited, battery farmed, ill-treated - and organic free range animal products will become scarce and less affordable forcing consumers to opt for cheaper alternatives which will be a bi-product of horrific abuse. This will also encourage animal testing in laboratories and make it easier for people to make money off of animals without treating them with basic levels of care and respect.
Please sign this petition to bring back the law of animal sentience. I will be showing this petition to my MP (Kemi Badenoch, Conservative) who will then have the power to chose to help us with our mission for a better future for the animals - we need to help them, because they cannot help themselves.
Your signature could be one paint stroke in a much happier future for these animals. If you wouldn't let your pet be treated like this then why should they have to suffer it?
