Many pets are absolutely terrified of fireworks. My older dog only got release from her terror when she went deaf due to her age and my younger one literally shakes with fear at the sound of fireworks. The large supermarkets actively encourage people to buy fireworks from early October and the result is weeks of fireworks being set off, causing so much distress to so many pets. There are also many ex Armed Forces people whose PTSD causes them to have significant difficulties due to fireworks. Please can it be brought about to stop the general sale of fireworks and restrict the sale to licensed organised displays on November 5th and New Year's Eve, plus any significant National Events such as the Queen's 100th birthday?
