LOWER THE UK VOTING AGE TO 16 YEARS OLD
The Issue
Recently, some very big decisions have been made that will affect our Country for many years to come. The consequences of these changes will mostly be felt by people who are now currently in Secondary School.
Who are we to deny young people the right to vote? When a large percentage of them are extremely politically-savvy, and will ultimately be the ones to suffer or benefit from the decisions that are made today.
This petition calls for the lowering of the voting age to 16 years old because whilst in the run-up to the next General Election on the 8th June 2017, arguably, the most important General Election of a lifetime, it is more important than ever that our young people's voices are heard.
