Hi guys!

I can not believe the huge numbers that have signed so far! It's amazing.

THANK YOU

WE MUST KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING BY SHARING ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS.

I emailed Jeff Smith yesterday regarding the petition and the proposal to close didsbury mosque.

Please feel free to copy and paste my template. Or make your own. This is something we ALL MUST DO!!

Good afternoon.

As a worried member of the community I thought best to Email the MP covering the area in question.

Didsbury mosque has once again been on the main stream media.

A video has surfaced that was recorded within Didsbury mosque. The papers quote......

The sermon was held in December 2016.

Prayers were said for the mujahideen - a term often used to describe Islamist fighters.

Mr Graf is heard saying: "We ask Allah to grant them mujahideen - our brothers and sisters right now in Aleppo and Syria and Iraq - to grant them victory."

Elsewhere, he says: "Lots of brothers stayed behind unfortunately. They love Islam and Muslims but they do nothing for the support of their brothers and sisters."

He also remarks: "Jihad for the sake of Allah is the source of pride and dignity for this nation."

At one point Mr Graf is heard saying: "The whole world, including Europe, America - what is the so-called civilised world - is watching what is happening in Aleppo and Syria.

"They know that Iran, Russia and the militias are killing humans in Syria and they do nothing.

"Well in fact they helped the Russians and the Iranians and others, the militias, to kill Muslims over there."

Greater Manchester Police said: "We have been handed the material from the BBC following their broadcast and will now review it to establish if any criminal offences have been committed."

There are strong Libyan ties within the mosque, with various people from the mosque having been involved, in Libya, in the civil war. In 2011, the (current) mosque imam travelled to Libya, where he aided moderate rebel groups to help topple Gaddafi.

Another person from the mosque was described variously as a "member" and a "senior member" of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group.( LIFG   was an armed Islamist group. Militants participated in the 2011 Libyan Civil War as the Libyan Islamic Movement (al-Harakat al-Islamiya al-Libiya), and are involved in the Libyan Civil War as members of the Libya Shield Force. Alleged militants include alleged Al Qaeda organizer Abd al-Muhsin Al-Libi who now holds a key command position in the Libya Shield Force).

A regular worshipper at the mosque, Abd al-Baset Azzouz, al Qaeda operative left Britain in 2009 to join the terror group’s leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in Pakistan, before heading to Libya to run an al Qaeda network in the east of the country.

At least two British recruits of Islamic State also worshipped at the mosque. Rapper and ISIS soldier Raphael Hostey worshipped at the mosque together with Salman Abedi, who went on to set off a suicide bomb at Manchester Arena in 2017. Hostey travelled to Syria where he was killed.

In December 2017, mosque attendee Mohammed Abdallah, was jailed for 10 years for being a member of Islamic State, where he was listed as a "specialist sniper".

I'm sure you are fully aware of the current situation. Given the history of the mosque.

As the MP for the local area I feel to bring this to your attention. The mosque needs to be closed. It poses a serious threat to the people of Britain. It also poses a threat to the vulnerable Muslims that attend there and listen to the speaker. The manchester bomber was a member here for instance. Is there a connection? Who knows, what I do know is it is the duty of government to protect its citizens.

We have to make a stand and make an example of this mosque to show we will not stand for hate preaching in the mosques of the UK. Give a clear message.

There is a petition within the biritsh public running at the moment with nearly 500 signatures in less than 24 hours.

People are scared and we need to see our government to start to take action.

Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. I look forward to your response. I also hope you will highlight this issue as the MP for this constituency with the necessary people.

Regards

A concerned citizen
