Happy Winter Holidays, Dear Readers! It is so wonderful to see you as always! I hope that you are all set for this one day of the year where some of us get to indulge a little – some more than others! Me? I am just glad that I am alive! My dreams are still alive! There’s hope! At this time year, I look forward to spending the day with my family! Family – when cohesive – is a gift that keeps on giving! If it weren’t for my family (and friends), I don’t know where I’d be today! I do feel for those who have died through these draconian psychopathic austerity measures. All I have done since 2014 is to instigate tribunals, which I won all by myself. I tried the Citizens Advice Bureau to no avail. It was most unfortunate that the person trying to help me at the time did not much of a clue. I guess you can say that I am the Tribunal King! Usually, these “decision makers” create a situation whereby I receive an illegal sanction to coincide with the birth of baby Jesus. From 2014 to 2016, my Winter Holidays were marred by a faceless nasty fiend sitting behind a desk somewhere. I can count myself lucky that there has been no incident this year – not for the want of them trying! I think I must have combated about 4 or 5 “doubts” in the last 3 or 4 months via a UC70 form. Can you believe that after all my tribunal (hollow) victories, they were still trying it??? These idiots would waste several sheets of paper to assert “doubts” that would have been null and void with a little thought behind them. I tell you… These people are pathologically stupid – alarmingly, some more than others! I think I have figured out how to avoid their illegal sanctions arising from a spurious “doubt”. I found myself having to explain what should be obvious as the “decision maker” is incapable of intelligent thought. It’s like I am explaining to a 3 or 4-year-old! Anyhoo! I can get to chill with my family and be in the moment with them this year! THE MILK OF HUMAN KINDNESS Yesterday, I had to take a trip to my local food bank… Trust me, when you receive a sanction or a series of sanctions – illegal or not – it/they can put you in a constant deficit. In other words, I am in financial trouble. As soon as my Universal Credit payment comes in it is spoken for! I was trying not to go to the food bank as there are so many people in dire need. Me? I am pretty strong, healthy, and disciplined. I was going to live on oats and stock cube made soups until the end of January 2018! That’s how I lived for the last couple of years! My best friend was alarmed when I expressed my reluctance to go and get some food, I was encouraged to go… No, it’s not that I am ashamed to be seen taking help… I feel that other people deserve it more! After a bit of reasoning and cajoling, I saw sense and made a dash for it! I got there in the nick of time, 14: 45! They close at 15:00! Yesterday would have been the last day until next week Thursday (I believe). Jeez, the community feeling was overwhelming… There were people from different backgrounds expressing their gratitude to have something to eat over the Winter Holidays, some children were fortunate enough to receive toys! I was close to tears as it could have been a scene from a feel-good movie not unlike “It’s A Wonderful Life” starring James Stewart. The food bank volunteers were so very kind and welcoming, they stayed open at least half an hour longer to ensure that people could have something to eat for Xmas! There were people arriving as I was about to leave. The volunteers took my Vegan needs into consideration and I am ever so grateful! Oh, those bags were heavy! I can enjoy a couple of mince pies while watching my DVDs! I have given up cable, I don’t receive TV channels, and I will not pay for BBC license to watch iPlayer! Forget it! Anyway, it is so good to see that the indomitable spirit of kindness can prevail over Tory evil. I am determined to help others in the not too distant future! I remember a time when Britain was at its greatest, and at the core of such greatness was the spirit of community. We need community more than ever! So many people have fallen for the ol’ divide and conquer trick! Many of us are content to fight each other over foolishness! I am trying to wake people up! However, so many people are content to live in a bubble created by the media. To quote from the “GI Jane” movie, starring a shaven-headed Demi Moore, “If I want your opinion, I’ll give it to you!” Some people just do not want to think for themselves and it is very sad and disturbing!
