For Dan, thirteen years and 150,000 signatures later.

Thirteen years ago today, on 28 March 2005, my brother Dan took his own life. I was 10 years old, and after that my life changed forever. In some ways my life changed for the better – I’ve been able to do so much work to raise awareness of suicide and help others navigate similar tough times. But I miss Dan, all the time. This petition has just reached 150,000 signatures, and it means so much to me because I know Dan would be proud. Thank you all so much. Keep sharing. Together, we’re making change.
