Good evening from Brooklyn!

We hope this note finds you well and having a great summer.  Thank you to all who signed this petition and shared it with others.  All donations made went directly to change.org, but we hope that awareness was raised.  More and more governments are seeing that Watch Tower polices are violating the fundamental human rights of life, liberty, security and happiness.

We wanted to share the exciting news that along with 6 friends who are former JWs, we launched The Liberati, a nonprofit organization incorporated in New York, with a mailing address at a former Brooklyn Bethel building.  Our mission is to empower survivors of high control religions to break free!

Each of our board members share the core values of Integrity, Inclusivity, Kindness, Respect and Self-Determination.  Our vision is to unite a global network of human rights activists, much like the underground railroad, to assist and uplift the beautiful people who are awakening inside the Watch Tower and other high control religions.  They need emotional, practical, and material support, which includes financial aid, emergency housing and hopefully someday, even academic scholarships.

It has taken us over a year to incorporate our organization and launch our website: theliberati.org.  It takes much dedication, time, effort, and money, but we all feel this is needed now, more than ever.  There is a great awakening taking place inside of Watch Tower.  There may well be 144,000 PIMOS around the world!  And so many of them need tangible help.

We are currently raising funds for “Andre,” an 18-year-old who was recently disfellowshipped for “apostasy” and needs to buy a used car so they can move out and start community college.  A very generous former JW has offered a private apartment and job for “Andre” to get on their feet.  We are about half way towards our goal, and we cannot do this without you.

This is the third person The Liberati has supported and we hope this is just the beginning.  If this resonates, and you would like to know more about our mission, vision, and values, and how you can contribute, please visit our website: theliberati.org.  We also appreciate any ideas or skills you have that could help us.  Feel free to drop us a line via the contact tab on our website. Thank you so much for your interest and support.  Together, we can make a difference!

With gratitude,

Ryan from The Liberati
