Disney submitted its EIA for Lighthouse Point to the Government for review more than 10 months ago. This week, we wrote to Disney and the Government seeking transparency about their plans for releasing the EIA to the public. We also proposed a timeline for a meaningful public consultation on the EIA before any decision to move forward.

Sam Duncombe, Executive Director of ReEarth, said: “This is not the moment to rush blindly ahead to approve cruise ship infrastructure projects when the future of Disney and the larger industry are in question. This is the time to “Rethink before we Restart.”
