Disney MUST Take Stronger Action Against Sexual Misconduct

A long list of Disney Pixar employees have independently confirmed John Lasseter's sexual misconduct. This comes after 20 years of awareness of his behaviour, and now we see that Disney executives were aware of these issues as early as 2010, and have financially settled at least one case of sexual misconduct against Lasseter.
It is completely unacceptable that, as a corporation, Disney continued to allow female staff to be at risk by working alongside a man who was known to be sexually inappropriate towards young women. It is further unacceptable that Disney allowed someone with these tendencies to continue to create content that shapes and influences the minds of young children.
Disney's reponse to John Lasseter's misconduct is unacceptable and communicates acceptance of sexual misconduct to the general public. It is entirely inappropriate that Disney will continue to pay him millions of dollars and thank him for his "sincere apology" which completely minimises his own behaviour.
We demand that Disney offer a full apology for the women that were placed at risk by their inaction - and call upon Disney to terminate their employment of John Lasseter.
