GET ON TRACK - A TRANSPORT SYSTEM FOR EVERYONE

Disability Resources Centre
21 févr. 2021

Hello, and thank you for your amazing support so far.
People with disabilities, mobility impairments and many of our elders have been waiting more than 40 years to use Melbourne’s tram network. In a busy city like Melbourne, public transport is essential for connecting people to jobs, education and community.  At some stage in their lives, EVERYONE will need transport that meets disability standards. But at the current rate of progress, Melbourne tram stops won’t be fully accessible until 2066. Meanwhile, lives are passing.

Please share this petition with friends and family, with your support we can show the Andrews government that this work is a priority for Victorians.

On Thursday 4 March we will be gathering to share our anger about the tram network’s lack of inclusion with a COVID-safe protest. If you live in or near Greater Melbourne we would love to see you there.
We will be meeting at 11:45 outside the State Library for a 12 noon event. As guidelines around outdoor meetings are changing often, please sign up here so that we know you are coming.

You can also email our ministers here too and let them know how important accessible transport is.

Together we can look forward to a world where everyone can participate equally.

Thank you.
