On Wednesday May 3rd 2023, I will be presenting the Living Wage petition to the President and CEO of the Greater Toronto Airport Authority, Ms. Deborah Flint.

The GTAA’s Annual General Meeting will be held at the T3 Sheraton Gateway Hotel commencing at 1:30 pm as follows: https://www.torontopearson.com/en/community/get-involved/annual-public-meeting

Over the past 3 1/2 weeks, over 6,300 people (mainly YYZ workers) signed the petition! The goal was to reach 10,000 signatures which I’m certain will be achieved fairly soon.

After presenting the petition to Ms. Flint on May 3rd, I will be taking it onwards to the Mayors of Mississauga, Toronto and Brampton. These are the municipalities that surround Toronto Pearson Airport and the communities that are becoming too expensive for airport workers to live in.

The goal is to have these 3 Mayors put pressure on the GTAA to implement a Living Wage ordinance.

If airports in North America, including Vancouver have a living wage, then YnotYYZ?
