Dear Supporters, First I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone! Many of you have followed the campaign to Protect Wicklesham Quarry for over 2 years. You have come to local meetings, written objections, distributed leaflets and made donations to help with costs. You have sent supportive emails to protectwicklesham@gmail.com and left hundreds of heartfelt comments on the petition web page. Without your support this important campaign would not have come this far. The importance of what Wicklesham Quarry represents extends far beyond Faringdon. Let me share what my barrister, Pavlos Eleftheriadis of FTB Chambers thinks about our fight to protect Wicklesham Quarry: "This case raises important issues regarding Neighbourhood Plans and environmental justice. Can a Neighbourhood Plan ignore the strategic policies of a Local Plan? What is the legal status of restoration conditions for mineral workings? How should Biodiversity Action Plans influence planning policy? These are important questions that the court will be asked to decide." On MONDAY 10TH OCTOBER at 2.00pm the CROWDJUSTICE APPEAL goes live. A link to the page will be sent to supporters inviting donations. In order to apply for Judicial Review I need to raise £10,00 by 25th October- to meet the application deadline of 28th October. Will you help me to do this? You are warmly invited to attend a meeting at the Village Hall, Little Coxwell, near Faringdon, on Sunday 9th October at 7.30pm, to hear more about the case before the launch on Monday. Thank you again for your support!
