Please see the letter below addressed to the Chief Executive of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the UK. Public health officials are blindly following what has been deceitfully established here in the U.S. which is wreaking havoc globally.

Attn: Sir Andrew Dillon, Chief Executive

Dear Andrew Dillon,

I would like to call attention to the following statement taken from the Caudwell LymeCo Charity article above:

What are the problems?

“The single biggest area needing improvement, in our view, is the re-evaluation of people who have been ill for a long time and may have a long-standing Lyme disease infection. It is known that Lyme disease can persist as an active infection for years if left untreated, yet patients who fit this category hardly ever seem to be evaluated for Lyme disease or tested, if they have already been suffering symptoms for a long time. In our observation there has been no change at all for these patients since the guideline came out.”

As Chief Executive of NICE, you should be well aware that untreated strep throat progresses to rheumatic fever, causing irreversible heart damage. Untreated syphilis leads to progressive disability and dementia, and untreated HIV infection progresses to AIDS with significant disability and death. What happens to the patient with Lyme disease who goes months, years or decades before diagnosis because of a false negative serological test, lack of bulls-eye rash, missed tick bite etc.?

There has been a thirty year fixation on the acute stage of Lyme disease (with bulls-eye rash) after early treatment however patients with a prolonged exposure to the pathogen before diagnosis and initial treatment are almost always incapacitated. Public outcry is being ignored.

What is the motivation behind denying this stage of disease when it is well known that other infections left untreated are horribly disabling? Untreated Lyme is destroying lives, ending careers while leaving the patient in financial ruin as reported by the disabled Lyme community for the past three decades.

It has been nearly forty years since Lyme was identified in Lyme, Connecticut USA and yet we still don’t know how Lyme disables its victim so we can figure out what we’re dealing with here and how to treat it properly. It does not occur to you that something is rather strange about the handling of Lyme disease?

Global health officials are blindly following what has been wrongfully established here in the United States and it would appear that the NICE response is no exception.

I mean no disrespect Mr. Dillon but is this a straightforward case of complete deception by the US Centers for Disease Control (and the seven defendants named in a racketeering lawsuit) or a case of mass collusion through public health authorities worldwide?

A response to this inquiry is requested.

Respectfully submitted,

Carl Tuttle
