This update is a continuation of the ongoing communication with the JAMA Editorial Office regarding the Wormser/Shapiro propaganda viewpoint. Representatives Chris Smith and Collin Peterson have been included in this three part series of updates so they can see for themselves that the mishandling of Lyme disease extends to the NIH and prestigious medical/scientific journals.

Dear Representatives Smith/Peterson and Attorney Dutko,
You have been included in this email thread as a result of your involvement with Lyme disease legislation/litigation.
I received a reply from the JAMA Editorial Office regarding my concerns over inaccurate/misleading Lyme disease statements from Wormser and Shapiro recently published in the Journal of The American Medical Association.
Dr. Fontanarosa has suggested that I submit a formal letter to the editor “for consideration for possible publication in JAMA that outlines my concerns.”
I have previously participated in this charade with Joseph Alpert, Editor-in-Chief of The American Journal of Medicine attempting to correct additional disinformation originating once again from Wormser and Shapiro. My letter to the editor was immediately rejected.

I would also like to point out that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) financed both of the Wormser/Shapiro propaganda articles published in The American Journal of Medicine and Journal of The American Medical Association. Taxpayer dollars are being misused to finance the Wormser/Shapiro ongoing racketeering scheme to downplay the severity of a disease that is destroying lives, ending careers while leaving patients in financial ruin.
In summary: Editorial censorship to control the narrative has perpetuated the thirty year disinformation campaign (racketeering scheme) while the truth/facts about this life-altering/life-threatening infection remain well hidden/censored from the public and medical community.
I am undecided if I will waste my time writing a letter to the editor as suggested by Dr. Fontanarosa but if I do; I will certainly carbon copy your offices.
