We have all heard of the stories on the news, seen in person, and or have been involved with a person passing off their pet as an emotional support animal. Then the public has to deal with an untrained, generally unsocialized animal. The ADA requires that a service animal be trained before it can be in the public. Disabled people with true service animals take the law very seriously. Where people with ESA's don't. ESA's by the current law do not have to be trained in anyway. This petition is asking for all ESA's to be reasonably trained and tested using a Public Access test similar to the test service animals must pass, and have the test results on file with a doctor before a doctor can write an ESA prescription for housing, an airline and to be taken out into the public.
