Mid-August Updates

On August 10th, University President Dr. Darryll Pines released an update to students, parents, faculty, and staff that included changes to the Fall 2020 schedule. President Pines announced that the semester would begin on August 31st as previously scheduled but that in-person instruction would be delayed until September 14th. This allows the University to reduce interactions during the assessment phase of the University's re-opening plan.
On August 11th, the NCAA Big Ten conference announced that it will postpone the 2020-21 fall sports season, including all regular-season contests and Big Ten Championships and Tournaments. Fall sports included in this announcement are men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball.
We feel these announcements are worth sharing and highlighting in our community as we continue to consider what is being asked of students and their families during a pandemic that has disrupted the educational experience, financial stability, and student life. #NoResourceNoFee
