Hello again...

Just to update you on the latest. We just had a meeting with the associate dean. We were informed that Dr. Liets' pink-slip was borne from a combination of departmental budget cuts in association with the union's contract, which places Dr. Liets lowest on the departmental "totem pole". The only viable option that we were provided was to approach the provost regarding channeling more funding into the department in order to support her salary. So, with a will and a way, we will be exhausting our options in order to keep Dr. Liets. Our voices need to be heard. Please keep spreading the word and possibly let the provost and chancellor know how valuable Dr. Liets is to our education and the Davis community.
