We were informed by Shante Needham (eldest Bland sister) that this was Sandra's favorite song. Ms. Dowe did simply an amazing...an AMAZING job...honoring her sister in spirit, Sandra Bland by adding a reggae twist to the song after finding out Ms. Bland was also a big fan of Bob Marley. The Rev. Dr. Marcia Clinkscales of the Metropolitan A.M.E. church spoke and put the life of Sandra Bland in the context of black women in america and their political, spiritual and cultural struggles, victories and accomplishments. It was an amazing and spiritually uplifting event with amazing people. We will continue to #SayHerName
