Dear supporters of our international petition to the United Nations Against Crimes Against Humanity, liebe Unterstützer/innen, (Deutsche Version unten!) our historic petition to the United Nations (UN), that was launched in July 2017, now has 82,300 supporters from all parts of the world – that's impressive, isn't it! I am happy to announce today, that the main petition text is now available in Russian language, too (http://www.akt-mitweltethik.de/images/aktuelles/2018/petition_uno_russian.pdf), that means, that our petition can now be read in ten languages! These days the world is looking to South Korea, where the winter Olympics 2018 are being held. If you look at the numerous torture videos which I collected on the internet, that show the joy, the enthusiasm and the aspiration those animal haters express while they torture their defenceless victims, you get the impression, that it was a sport discipline that strives to make the victims suffer as long and as badly as possible, without the victims to die prematurely, so that the sadistic passion is not frustrated too early. Please excuse this cynicism, but the topic we are dealing with is of such perversion, that we need cynicism as a shield to protect us, not to perish in horror. South Korea ranks second in the world behind China in terms of animal torturing. What may be happening in North Korea, we can only guess. But I assume, that people there are at least as cruel as in the south, so that it is probably adequate, at least in this regard, to speak of Korea as a whole. Yet, the numerous TV documentaries about the culture especially of South Korea do not hint at that. After the Korean War, South Korea was the third-poorest country in the world. Today wealthy South Korea in terms of economy is one of the most successful countries in Asia. That prosperity and civilisation in the Western style do not automatically raise the level of empathy and ethics is sadly proven by South Korea. Unfortunately, the United States and the Western world, that massively supported that country with their know-how and financial means for decades, never cared to develop Korea in terms of humanity and humaneness as well. Especially with regard to the torturing of dogs, Korea has become known – but with delight they torture other animals to their deaths as well. Dogs are hung there for hours on a noose, put around their necks, that tightens. Only when they have no more strength to struggle, further torture will start. In South Korea there are mainly commercial dog farms, in which these animals are bred in horrifying narrowness, as we know it from fur farms. The dog meat trade is worth 250 million Euros each year. Although Buddhism and Christianity are widespread in Korea, this does not reduce their passion to torture animals. Thus South Korea is a proof, that animal protection is kept out of all developments concerning living standard, religious creeds, culture and politics. According to my point of view, the problem is not, that Koreans like to eat dog meat, because it does not make a difference whether one or another species is being eaten. Therefore it would be a strategical mistake, to concentrate on the consumption of dog meat, as long as in our part of the world, rather in most other parts of the world, animals are sacrificed for human consumption as well, only other animal species. It is not without reason, that Asians reproach us to protect pets only and reject our criticism as a proof of our cultural intolerance towards them. Therefore, first and foremost, this is about HOW animals, not matter which species, are kept, treated and above all HOW they are killed. We must accuse and denounce these animal torturing countries for their cultivated sadism in front of the world public and the UN! Dear friends, please do not give up the animals and our international campaign for their protection! Please keep on spreading the link to our historic animal welfare petition to the UN everywhere and again and again – that is so important! People shrink away from the cruel images and the frightening facts, that threaten their view of the world. But if we keep on urging them to support our petition and to spread it, then they will do it. Does it really amaze us, that the media and politicians are refusing this topic, if even our contemporaries, who often are animal friends, do so as well? Liebe Unterstützer/innen unserer Internationalen Petition an die Vereinten Nationen gegen Verbrechen gegen die Menschlichkeit, unsere im Juli 2017 gestartete historische Petition an die Vereinten Nationen (UN) verzeichnet nun 82.300 Unterstützer aus wirklich allen Erdteilen der Welt – das ist beeindruckend! Heute darf ich Ihnen mitteilen, dass der Hauptpetitionstext nun auch in russischer Sprache (http://www.akt-mitweltethik.de/images/aktuelles/2018/petition_uno_russian.pdf) vorliegt, was bedeutet, dass unsere Petition nun in 10 Sprachen abgefasst ist. Die Welt blickt nach Südkorea, wo die Winterolympiade 2018 ausgetragen wird. Betrachtet man in den zahlreichen Foltervideos, die ich im Internet gesammelt habe, in denen die Freude, der Enthusiasmus und die Strebsamkeit der Tierhasser beim Foltern ihrer wehrlosen Opfer zu beobachten sind, gewinnt man den Eindruck, dass es sich um eine sportliche Disziplin handelt, die danach trachtet, den Opfern so lange wie möglich extreme Qualen zuzufügen, ohne dass sie vorzeitig wegsterben und die sadistische Leidenschaft nicht vorzeitig frustriert wird. Bitte entschuldigt diesen Zynismus, aber das Thema, mit dem wir uns hier befassen, ist dermaßen pervers, dass wir Zynismus als Schutzschild aufbauen müssen, um nicht daran zu Grunde zu gehen. Südkorea ist gleich nach China auf Rang zwei bezüglich Tierfolterungen in der Welt. Was sich diesbezüglich erst in Nordkorea zutragen mag, können wir nur ahnen. Ich gehe aber davon aus, dass es dort mindestens ebenso grausam zu geht, so dass es angemessen ist, zumindest diesbezüglich nur noch von Korea im Ganzen zu sprechen. Darauf weisen die zahlreichen TV-Dokumentationen über die Kultur speziell Südkoreas mit keinem Wort hin. Nach dem Koreakrieg war Südkorea das drittärmste Land in der Welt. Heute ist Südkorea eines der wirtschaftlich erfolgreichsten und wohlhabendsten Länder Asiens. Dass Wohlstand und Zivilisation westlicher Prägung nicht automatisch auch das Niveau bezüglich Empathie und Ethik anheben, dafür ist Südkorea ein trauriger Beweis, zumal es den USA und der westlichen Welt, die dieses Land massiv mit Know-how und Finanzmitteln jahrzehntelang unterstützt haben, nie ein Anliegen war, es auch bezüglich Menschlichkeit zu entwickeln. Vor allem bezüglich der Folterungen von Hunden ist Korea bekannt geworden – sie quälen aber auch alle anderen Tiere mit Freude zu Tode. Hunde werden dort über Stunden an einer Schlinge, die um den Hals gelegt wird und sich zuzieht, aufgehängt. Erst wenn sie keine Kraft mehr haben, zu zappeln, wird mit den weiteren Folterungen fortgefahren. In Südkorea existieren vor allem kommerzielle Hundefarmen, in denen diese Tiere in drangvoller Enge, ähnlich wie wir es von Pelztierfarmen kennen, vermehrt werden. Der Handel mit Hundefleisch ist jährlich 250 Mio. Euro schwer. Obwohl Buddhismus und Christentum in Südkorea verbreitet sind, minderte dies nicht die Leidenschaft, Tiere zu foltern. Insofern ist Südkorea ein Beleg dafür, dass Tierschutz aus allen Entwicklungen bezüglich Lebensstandard, Glaube, Kultur und Politik herausgehalten wird. Es geht m. E. nicht darum, dass Koreaner gerne Hundefleisch essen, weil es keinen Unterschied macht, ob die eine oder andere Tierart gegessen wird. Es ist deshalb ein strategischer Fehler, die Thematik am Konsum von Hundefleisch fest zu machen, solange wir bei uns oder in allen anderen Teilen der Welt ebenfalls Tiere – wenn auch anderer Arten – für unseren Konsum opfern. Die Asiaten werfen uns deshalb nicht ohne Grund Lieblings- und Kuscheltierschutz vor und schmettern unsere Kritik als Beleg unserer kulturellen Intoleranz ihnen gegenüber ab. Es muss deshalb einzig und alleine darum gehen, WIE Tiere gleich welcher Art gehalten, behandelt und vor allem WIE sie getötet werden. Wir müssen deshalb diese Länder wegen ihres kultivierten Sadismus vor der Weltöffentlichkeit und den UN anklagen und anprangern! Liebe Freunde, bitte gebt die Tiere und unsere internationale Kampagne zu ihrem Schutz nicht auf! Bitte verbreitet den Link zu unserer historischen Tierschutzpetition an die UN überall und immer wieder – das ist so wichtig! Die Leute haben eine Scheu vor den grausamen Bildern und den unerschütterlichen, ihr Weltbild bedrohenden Tatsachen. Wenn sie aber von uns, von Euch, immer wieder gebeten werden, unsere Petition zu unterstützen und zu verbreiten, dann tun sie es auch. Ist es denn verwunderlich, dass sich die Medien und die Politik bei dieser Thematik verweigern, wenn selbst unsere Mitmenschen, die oft sogar Tierfreunde sind, das tun?
