Exposing the Kosher tax is important because the majority of Americans do not know what the Kosher Tax symbol on food packaging truly stands for. The tax may be minuscule, but millions of Americans are paying it unknowingly. The people should not be forced to pay any tax that they are not aware of. People who do not practice Judaism should not unknowingly pay a tax to a group they have no affiliation with. Therefore, the existence of said tax should be made clear. Here is what you need to know:  

• The Kosher Tax symbols are shown in the attached photo.
• To be "Kosher" is a means of preparing food when blessed by a Rabbi.
• Many non-food items however, are found to be Kosher.
• Exactly where the revenue collected from the Kosher Tax goes has not been made clear to the American people .

The encircled capital "U" and capital "K" are the most commonly used tax symbols. Check your pantry to see what Kosher items you purchase on a regular basis. Pay close attention to labels at grocery stores. Tell your friends and family. The tax symbol should be changed to something more plainly understood so consumers know that the stamp means "Kosher Tax" simply by looking at it.
