Wales unlike many other countries is not represented by its flag as an emoji. We call upon The Unicode Consortium, which creates emoji to put the Welsh flag as a choice amongst the other national flags that are available. Wales is a country of over 3 million people who want to celebrate the success of their nation, for example as is currently the case in the Euro 2016 football championships but find that their national flag is not available as an emoji. This is an unacceptable state of affairs and we call upon the creators of emoji to please correct this omission.
