This world is complex and changing, more dangerous in modern times than in the recent past. In this difficult environment the American people chose a President with a clearly expressed plan to steer his nation through this difficult period. Now some call on us to exclude him for trying to implement exactly what he promised.

We the undersigned call on the UK Parliament to respect the decision of one of our oldest and best allies and to reject divisive calls to exclude President Trump from entering Great Britain. Instead, we call upon Parliament to recognise the legitimate concerns many in the United States, Britain and Europe have about immigration and asylum and to enter into a respectful and productive dialogue with Mr Trump.
