Petition updateEnd the digital divide - provide children with internet access and a device to learnSchools are opening, but the digital divide isn't going anywhere

The digital divide and digital exclusion are still huge problems worldwide, including in the UK. Schools are opening on Monday, and children will therefore have better opportunities to learn once again. Despite this, around 6% of families struggle with broadband costs and up to 1.8 million children don't have any access to a learning device at home.

Children all over the UK are not being given the same opportunities as their peers who are fortunate enough to have the facilities to learn online from home. Learning shouldn't have to lie solely within the classroom walls, and each and every child deserves equal chances and to learn as and when they wish.

Please sign and share the UK Government Petition. Once we have just 10,000 signatures the Government have to respond. We want and deserve answers. How are the Government going to resolve this issue of inequality? Please sign here: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/569205 (it takes 20 seconds!)

Thank you.
