At the beginning of this month we released the shocking results of our ground-breaking E. coli testing in the Thames. We used a World Health Organisation approved kit and found 10 times the amount of dangerous pathogens than the Government guidance deems safe for swimming in.
That’s why River Action continues working hard to:
Empower the amazing activists, communities and citizen scientists along the Thames and elsewhere across the nation who are working hard to gather evidence and rescue their rivers
Tell it how it is through our creative social and press media coverage - so you know what is happening and what you can do about it
Hold the Government and polluters to account, making sure they can’t ignore their responsibilities to our rivers and nature - through legal action where necessary
“River Action has certainly cut through where others have failed so it’s been a pleasure to be part of this work”
Adam Freeman-Pask, Fulham Reach Boat Club
