In regard to the "PROTECTING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AGAINST INVASION" executive order by President Donald J. Trump:
This order's policy prioritizes "criminal illegal aliens"—many of whom arrived during former President Joe Biden's administration—but it may also apply to others.
It also orders the identification of "unregistered illegal aliens" based on the requirements of Part VII of Subchapter II of Chapter 12 of Title 8, United States Code.
However, there is an inherent conflict between the legal obligation and the practical impossibility of registration for undocumented individuals. If an undocumented person attempts to register through standard channels, they would almost certainly expose their illegal status, leading to potential detention and removal.
While the law states that all aliens must register, the reality is that undocumented individuals face a catch-22—a paradoxical situation from which they cannot escape due to contradictory rules or limitations. It’s a situation where every possible course of action is blocked by conflicting requirements. It’s frustrating, illogical, and often absurd.
Examples:
"You need experience to get a job, but you need a job to get experience."
"To get medical treatment, you must have health insurance, but to get health insurance, you must be healthy."
"You must register as an alien, but because you are an illegal alien, the act of registration will result in your deportation."
