The Fachon family was faced with yet another FDA hold on 20 year old Eugene's treatment by Dr. Burzynski for a lethal brain tumor, but on Thursday the FDA decided to replace the full clinical hold with a partial hold that will allow Fachon's treatment but then bar anyone else from receiving ANP treatment. Eugene Fachon's latest MRI shows that his tumor has not grown. This latest battle that the Fachon family has had to wage with the FDA to gain and then retain access to ANP treatment for their dying son is beyond a travesty. No one in such desperate medical straits should be prevented by our government from receiving a treatment that has been shown to reverse similar disease with few negative side effects. Especially when conventional treatment options offer no hope and that person is given less than three months to live!
