This morning Israel removed all metal detectors (except for the one at the Mugrabim Gate - only entry point for Jews) and cameras from around the Temple Mount in capitulation to Jordanian and PA demands.
This came, after Jordan in contravention to International Law and treaties held 20 diplomats and wounded Israel security hostage for 24 hours in the Israel Embassy in Jordan.
Arab MK Taleb Abu Arar (Joint List) stressed that “Jews have no rights at al-Aqsa Mosque.... as well as to the occupied al-Buraq Wall (the Western Wall), which Muslims demand to be returned to our sovereignty.”
Arab MK Masud Ganaim (Joint List) said the decision to remove the metal detectors, placed at the site following the murder of two policemen on July 14, was a “victory for the Palestinian public’s struggle and the demonstrations."
Also this morning Rabbi Ari Abramowitz ascended to the Temple Mount with a Jewish group and began to recite Kaddish in memory of the 3 Jews slaughtered in their home during Shabbat dinner by an Arab terrorist. As he began to pray the police immediately jumped on him and arrested him "for disturbing the peace" even though no Arabs were present to "disturb".
Arabs are still for unknown reasons boycotting the Mount even though Israel has capitulated to all their demands in the face of riots, murder, and diplomatic terrorism.
The Rabbi stated: “Why aren't Jew's praying en mass on the Temple Mount? This is the greatest civil rights struggle of our generation.”
The Movement for Temple Renewal התנועה לכינון המקדש hopes the public will wake up and join the struggle for a free Temple Mount. "Today Israel has raised high the White Flag of surrender and we hope Jews and friends of Israel will tolerate this no more," said international spokesman Yosef Rabin.
