Yesterday on the holiday of Shavuot, one of the three holidays of Pilgrimage to the Temple Mount 235 Jews made their way to fulfill the commandment "Three times in the year, every one of your males shall appear before the Lord, your God" (Deuteronomy 16:16). The police allowed the Jews to ascend in groups of 35 throughout the morning between 7:30-11am. The Mount was not opened during the afternoon. According to one of the Pilgrims, the first group to ascend the Temple Mount recited the Hallel Prayer and the police declined to make any arrests letting them off with a warning. However, this morning the day after the holiday 7 Jews were arrested for the "crime" of bowing down on the Temple Mount and are being aided by the Chonenu Legal Organization.
