The Murder of 21-year-old Brendan Horner
Sunday, 4 October 2020
Our South African government is doing nothing to protect our farmers in South Africa; and without farmers, we would most certainly starve.
Observe Zimbabwe, our neighbour. Six out of ten Zimbabweans are starving today. Why? In 1980, Zimbabwe was regarded as the food basket of Africa. Today, the economy has been utterly destroyed by the ZANU-PF government over a period of 40 years; yet, they are still 'governing' the country. Many young Zimbabweans fled their motherland for economic reasons - several millions of them fled to South Africa.

Yet our government does nothing to protect our farmers. The time has come for our farmers to form civil defense units and to ensure that every farm is sufficiently protected with the best communication systems.
Brendon Horner's body was found tied to a pole on Thursday, 1st of October 2020. The 21-year-old had injuries to the face and neck.
" Land Reform Minister Thoko Didiza said she was shocked by the killing of a young farm manager in the Free State...
Police say a knife was also found on the scene. His blood-stained Toyota Hilux was later found abandoned near another farm. In an impassioned statement on Saturday afternoon, Didiza said the killing was senseless and called on authorities to leave no stones unturned until the perpetrators are found and arrested.
The motive for the murder is unknown and police are investigating a case of murder."
Impassioned pleas by the Minister are of no effect. The ANC government should act and act decisively.
The entire country is in a state of lawlessness. Our new constitution is meaningless if our government cannot provide the basic service of law and order.
Our cities and towns are just as bad. The townships are also in crisis with extreme lawlessness, teenage murders, gangsterism, drug abuse, and constant gang violence.
When will it all end? Perhaps in 2024 when we will have another opportunity to vote out our rotten, corrupt government and replace it with a multi-party alliance, which would be a much better option.
