12 APRIL, 2018 WHY SOUTH AFRICAN FARMERS NEED TO BE GRANTED SPECIAL VISAS TO ENTER AUSTRALIA Dear supporter of this petition Thank you for your unwavering support to stop farm murders in South Africa. Our petition to the UN now stands at 153,300 supporters. The jury is out on the reasons why the western world can no longer ignore the reality of the extent of the murder of farmers in South Africa. Thank God for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp and many other forms of social media. Nobody has the monopoly on information and news anymore. We, the ordinary citizens of any country can now mobilize ourselves in groups (in privacy) and speak our minds on issues that really trouble us in our countries. And we can plan to take action to effect change – do you remember who and what started the Arab Spring and the impact social media had? We can write what we like, as long as we stay within the limits of the law. Web sites, such as www.change.org now provides the ordinary citizen in any country who has access to the internet to fight for an issue and to be instrumental to engineer significant social change in a country with very little funding needed. This is what motivated me to place FARM MURDERS IN SOUTH AFRICA on the international agenda. I knew it was not featured by mainstream media in South Africa, but that did not deter me. With www.change.org + social media + a pertinent social issue = an international awareness in countries throughout the world. The United Nations is still not responding adequately; however people like Minister Peter Dutton of Australia; (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7B7aMw9qGrA) Avi Yemini (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AimjXIcf1yo) and hundreds of thousands of Australians have been touched and moved and are aware of the atrocities in South Africa – and they are moved to take action, and this is powerful. Nobody can stop this TSUNAMI OF INTERNATIONAL PROTEST that will hit the South African government in 2018 – denial by the state is no longer an option; they are faced with the question: what can we do to stop the incessant questions that are raised by world leaders and what answer can we give the world on the issue of farm murders in South Africa, There are hundreds of jpeg files and YouTube clips files that depict the horrible effect of farm murders in South Africa that are floating around in cyberspace and social media is flooded horror stories of the killings in South Africa.
