8 November, 2017 WHY I HAVE SUBMITTED A PETITION TO THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT (ICC) IN THE HAGUE TO START PRELIMINARY PROCEEDINGS TO COMMENCE AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE ROLE THAT MR. JULIUS MALEMA PLAY IN RSA IN INCITING HIS FOLLOWERS OF THE EFF TO COMMIT ACTS OF VIOLENCE AGAINST A PARTICULAR ETHNIC GROUP IN SOUTH AFRICA. Our petition stands at – 130,000 supporters Dear Supporters of the PETITION TO STOP FARM MURDERS IN SOUTH AFRICA After my prayer time, I asked the Lord what I should do as a pastor about the violence in our beloved nation that is being torn apart by MR. Julius Malema who is inciting young, radical youth in our country against a particular ethnic group on a regular basis. In any normal democracy, a person is held accountable for inciting violence against others, but South Africa is no longer a normal democracy where all the institutions are performing as they should. The first President of our new democracy, Mr Nelson Mandela once said: “No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion … if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love.” And this is the problem with Mr Julius Malema and the Economic Freedom Front. He has been taught to hate and he is teaching others to hate. Mr. Malema uses hate and the incitement of violence against a particular ethnic group to gain popularity and votes amongst particularly young, radical young people. The Bible teaches us that spreading hatred is a tactic of Satan, our adversary. Why, Mr. Malema, are you allowing Satan to use you to spread anarchy and dissent in our beautiful country, South Africa? Who has taught you to hate so much? Why are you not following the example of Madiba? Have you learnt nothing from him? Is there nobody in the EFF that can teach you how to love your neighbour like yourself? The land belongs to all who live in it, black and white. You continually say that the whole South Africa belongs only to the black people and that the whites stole all the land. I do not know if you believe yourself when you make all these hateful statements? It is hard to believe that a married man with a wife and child can be filled with so much hatred. Is this what you want your child to learn? Shoot to kill? Are you serious or are these many hurtful words a political ploy to attract support from radical young people? Our churches that preach love and peace are also quiet when Mr. Malema continues with his campaign to destabilize the country. It is time for the church of Christ to rise and to unite in prayer against these spirits of hate and lawlessness.
