More evidence that e-cigs advertising targets children.

This week, Prof Linda Baul, of Stirling University's has revealed that e-cigraettes are being marketed at children. We only need to look at the displays on any corner shop for e-cigs to see their flawed message, that e-cigs are a route to stopping smoking.  There is as yet no proof of that, so it is illegal for them to imply this when advertising.  None of this surprises me because this industry is in bed with the tobacco industry to do everything it can to retain their nicotine addicts, and  to recover the fast dwindling number who continue to smoke tobacco and the nicotine it contains.   It is interesting that the lobbyists for e-cigs industry, nicotine addicts, who think they have found a safer way to continue their addiction to nicotine, are already having a go at Prof Bauld for daring to question that the e-cigs industry is using illegal advertising to persuade children to buy their products. I believe that e-cigs are a big con,  they may have 6 million users in Europe and 2.6 million users in the uk, but, their marketing suggest they are the route to nicotine freedom is a lie. It is all about making money.  Evidence from France & California and research in Scotland already shows that e-cigs are starting to be used by teens.  In California they are also using the -cigs Vaping equipment to consume Cannabis. We must not allow lobbyist who want to continue their addiction to nicotine, to blind us into letting this sort of business to profit from our ill-health.  The time is long past, when we the taxpayers, should be wasting our taxes, on having to prove that those who seek to damage our health, by selling us drugs that damage our health, are conning us.   E-cigs may have the potential to reduce some of the harm of smoking tobacco, but it keeps the user addicted to nicotine. That eventually will lead to health problems that we at the moment cannot identify, but prevention is always better than cure. So, let’s hope that our politicians will for once have the insight and guts, to take on the multi-national industries that are harming our health.
