Award Falklands Veterans NP8901 + Endurance "Defence of Stanley / Grytviken" Bar

On April 2nd / 3rd 1982, 90 men of the Royal Marines Naval Party 8901 and HMS Endurance stood and fought for freedom - against all hope and crushing odds - from an armada of 6,000 Argentine special forces.
Their gallant stand at the Battles of Stanley and Grytviken paved the way for the UK to respond to and restore liberty to the Falkland Islanders.
Their brave actions to this day are unrecognised. The award of a Bar for "Defence of Stanley / Grytviken" to add to their South Atlantic Medals, nor their decorations for bravery - recommended by Maj. Norman RM and approved by Sir Rex Hunt - have never been granted.
Now 35 years later, we ask that the UK government look at redressing this imbalance. With the full urging and support of the veterans who fought that day, we ask nothing more than a final recognition from their country, for their gallant services in the cause of freedom.
