As this petition has now - astonishingly! - exceeded 1,000 signatories in just five days, and in view of Mr Graham's imminent arrival, I have emailed The Home Secretary, The Director General of Visas and Immigration and the Permanent Secretary to the Home Office. I have included links to both this petition and Deborah Armin's, and included the following note:
I bring to your attention two petitions with the intention of ensuring that evangelist Franklin Graham will have no difficulties in entering the country to deliver his message of the Love of God. Both petitions were raised in response to the appalling misinformation about him, his beliefs and the message he brings being spread throughout the media during the last few months. A petition started six months ago by Deborah Armin and addressed to Amber Rudd MP has received 4,340 signatures. A petition I started a mere five days ago has already exceeded 1,000 signatures. In view of Mr Graham's imminent arrival I thought today would be an appropriate time to bring these petitions to your attention, just to encourage you not to proceed with any possible last minute complications to his visit. I am assured by other sources that the negative voices raised against his visit were "... a few voices making a very loud noise". I am sure that Mr Franklin's visit will only bring good to the country as a whole, through preaching the Love of God to be spread to all people whatever their race, colour of beliefs.
I will keep the petition open until it is clear that Mr Graham is safely in the UK. MANY MANY THANKS TO ALL THE SIGNATORIES WHO HAVE LIFTED UP A VOICE TO SHOW THEIR BELIEF THAT THIS COUNTRY NEEDS REVIVAL OF THE KIND THAT FRANKLIN GRAHAM - LIKE HIS FATHER BEFORE HIM - MAY INITIATE!
