The African Union has declared 2025 the Year of “Justice for Africans & People of African Descent Through Reparations.” In just 17 days—10–11 July 2025—AU foreign-affairs ministers gather in Addis Ababa for their Mid-Year Coordination Meeting.
That’s our first big window to put a legal Right of Return for descendants of enslaved Africans squarely on their agenda.

What’s new
Goal reset: we aim for 2 000 verified signatures by 9 July (we’re halfway there!).
On 8 July I’ll email every AU minister a cover letter and the full signature list, asking that the Right of Return be written into the AU’s reparations action plan.
