The Return of #DIG4MICK: A New Campaign for the Independent Patreon Era!

Hello Time Team family,

It’s been a while! Lee Brady here.

When we launched the #DIG4MICK campaign years ago, our goal was simple: to honor the legacy of Professor Mick Aston with the grand send-off he deserved.

While Channel 4 didn’t listen to our 10,000 signatures back then, your incredible passion proved that Time Team belonged to the fans—ultimately paving the way for the show's incredible independent revival.

Today, Time Team is thriving, entirely funded by us through Patreon and YouTube. Because the show is finally independent of TV network executives, it is time to finish what we started.I am officially updating this campaign with a new, focused goal.

We are petitioning Tim Taylor and the Time Team production team to create an official Patreon-Funded #DIG4MICK Memorial Special.

Our vision for this landmark event:The Return of the 3-Day Clock: A classic, high-stakes 3-day excavation at a site that embodies Mick’s passion for landscape archaeology.

Sir Tony Robinson at the Helm: Fronted by Tony himself, leading us through the trenches just like the old days.

The Ultimate Reunion: Bringing the brilliant new cast together with our beloved veterans.

We want to see active regulars working alongside legends like Phil Harding and Francis Pryor, inviting retired or older cast members back as special guest experts or advisors for this historic event.

We kept the flame alive during the dark years. Now, let’s use our collective voice to celebrate Mick properly, on our terms.
