Monthly, sometimes weekly the Malahat is closed or severely delayed after a minor, serious or deadly crash. This road is no longer sufficient to provide adequate access to Victoria to the south and the rest of the Vancouver Island north. Something must be done and an alternate route needs to be seriously considered.
