You all signed to stop Fraser Anning from using violent language towards muslims, and using his political profile to propagate bigotry. Thankfully with the pressure inflicted by us, and community outcry and changing attitudes - he no longer has a platform to spout his offensive views.
However, we now have a more pervasive problem...
Within the last 3 months, there have been 4 cases of alleged rape involving politicians and their aids, there have been 2 ministers accused of gross misconduct towards women and one woman has taken her life due to the trauma of a violent rape which she alleges was inflicted by an MP.
The official response has been pathetic. We have heard ‘he said, she said’, our PM needed to seek counsel from his wife regarding the seriousness of rape, and the dead woman will never get justice as both the PM and the police have stated they will take inquiries no further.
Please sign and share this new petition asking for serious measures to combat misogyny and sexual assault involving male politicians or occurring at Parliament House. It’s time for women to have a voice and to be believed.
