Hi all, Scott Gregson - ACCC Executive General Manager of Consumer Enforcement called yesterday and we managed to speak today. In essence Mr Gregson advised they had progressed with the investigation of the various members complaints and that they hoped to have a more substantive update on progress at November end. When I asked if there had been any interference with the ACCCs investigation he advised there had not been any interference which is a great comfort given the ACCCs investigation is substantively of the commonwealths administration, undertakings and marketing of Medibank Private to its members and prospective members. He also advised that some finance aspects of complaints made, in relation to the float and prospectus, may lie within the remit of ASIC for investigation. Additionally and of great significance Mr Ray Williams the founding General Manager of Medibank Private has agreed to be available to Mr Gregson in support of the ACCCs thorough investigation. We hope that more former executives of Medibank Private or the Health Insurance Commission / PHIAC will reach out to Mr Gregson also.
