Unable to watch from the sidelines anymore as innocent farmers are murdered in the comfort of their homes in what has become an annual event; by alleged herdsmen who have never been caught, arraigned before any court of law nor any investigation undertaken. We are left with no choice but to compel government to find a lasting solution for once.

We demand legislation that prohibits open grazing of cattle and enforces ranching in all the 36 states of Nigeria.

We demand a thorough investigation by the Nigeria Police into the killings that have gone unchecked in the Benue valley and other regions. We demand that suspects be arraigned before competent courts and public trials held.

We demand that the Judiciary offer fair hearing to all parties involved and those found guilty must be made to face the law as stipulated by our constitution.

We demand that the families of these slain men, women and children be compensated for the inability of the government to fulfil its contractual obligation to safeguard their life and property.

Finally, in the case where our demand can't be fulfilled we demand the resignation of addressees in this petition to make room for those who are willing to carry out the duties that go with holding these positions.
