The Blazers announced that they will be replacing Mike Barrett and Mike Rice as their TV broadcast commentators. This is a sad day for the city of Portland and the Blazers.

Yes, Rice is goofy and babbles incoherent homerisms most of the time. And yes, MB is like your awkward puritan uncle, but that's what makes them great! They have character, they are imperfect and they know the Portland community and the Blazer organization like no others.

Mike & Mike have been through ups and downs with the Blazers. Beginning at the late stages of the Jail Blazers, through high hopes of the Rise With Us campaigns, through exploded knees and free agent woes, and into the current era of prosperity, Mike & Mike were there. And now that we've tasted some success the Blazers want to cast them aside? We get a little money and move out to the burbs? Not cool Blazers, not cool.
